Prayer Practice
PRAYER FILLS ME WITH AWARENESS OF GOD’S OMNIPRESENCE.
I needn’t wait for the perfect time to pray. I can pray aloud or silently anytime during the day or night. My prayers are my awareness of the omnipresence of God during good times and challenging times.
In prayer, I become still and centered. I retreat into the sacred silence within. I don’t need a special place or specific words. Prayer is communion with my Creator, and I pray from an attitude of gratitude and reverence for all life.
I become fluent in prayer as the sacred language of my soul, and I pray with ease—as naturally as I breathe in and out. Stilling my thoughts and being fully attuned to the presence of God, I am a conduit of prayer. When my prayer practice is more about being than doing, my life becomes a prayer.
Be still, and know that I am God!—Psalm 46:10
