Scripture:Mark 9:1-7 (New International Version)

Mark 9
1And he said to them, "I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God come with power."

The Transfiguration
2After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them. 3His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them. 4And there appeared before them Elijah and Moses, who were talking with Jesus.
5Peter said to Jesus, "Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah." 6(He did not know what to say, they were so frightened.)

7Then a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and a voice came from the cloud: "This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!"

The lessens in this particular passage are important to understanding the actual personage of Jesus. We witness Jesus, Peter, James and John go to the mountain top. Then Jesus is transfigured in shinning white. Moses and Elias also appear. A voice state " This is my beloved Son:hear him."

The main points are as follows:

1. We must follow Jesus to meet with God in prayer.

2. The prophets of old recognized Jesus as the one whom was promised.

3. We must listen to the words that Jesus says because it is the word of God that gives eternal life.

We pray that Gods' words live richly in our hearts and souls. This is a blessing for us and all that hear the Lord. In the end of our lessen there is only Jesus. This is our only hope and sense of Joy. Let this be a blessing to you as we bless others all in Christ Jesus name we pray. A-men

Psalms 3:8 8 Salvation F28 R55 belongs to the LORD; Your blessing R56 {be} F29 upon Your people! Selah.

Here we see two particular lessens in one main selection of scripture.
1. The idea of salvation, being saves, comes only from God and by God.

2. As a result of this act of salvation, it is indeed a bless for the people.

We need both a blessing and salvation today. The Lord is the source of all salvation and blessings. Therefore we must trust in the Lord of our salvation on order to receive the blessing. The real question involved in our lessen is:
Who is The Lord? The answer is Jesus Christ is both Lord and Savior. We have provided an addition background information on this particular lessen for you to study. We pray that you with ask the Lord for pure spiritual wisdom regarding His Divine Will regarding your experience with this lessen.
