Daily Bible Reading - October 9th, 2022 | American Bible Society: Obadiah 1-21: This short book comes from an undetermined time after the fall of Jerusalem to the Babylonians in 586 B.C. Edom, Jerusalem’s age-old enemy, not only rejoiced over the fall of Jerusalem but also looted the city and helped the invaders. In today’s reading, Obadiah prophesied that Edom would be punished and defeated, along with other nations that were enemies of Israel.
