Daily Bible Reading - April 15th, 2022 | American Bible Society: John 19:16b-30: Jesus carries his cross to “The Place of the Skull” (called “Golgotha” in Hebrew) where he is crucified. Pilate has an inscription placed on the cross, and soldiers gamble for Jesus’s clothing. At the cross, Jesus speaks to his mother and to a beloved disciple. Jesus’s final words from the cross indicate that he has completed the work God had given him to do.
