WHEN I PRAY FOR OTHERS, I EXPERIENCE OUR ONENESS.

Praying for others is a sacred honor. I may pray for someone by writing their name on my prayer list. I visualize each person on my list and see them as God does. I speak an affirmative prayer specifically for them.

If someone seeks guidance, I see them walking confidently in the direction of their good. For healing, I imagine them whole, well, energized, and free. When I hear of someone’s heartache, I envision them wrapped in the peace of Spirit.

When I pray for others, I pray for myself. I empathize, knowing our human experience has similar challenges. We are one in Spirit—strong, wise, and whole.

Therefore … pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.–James 5:16

The mothers of the world are perhaps the only people on Earth to understand the depths of motherhood. Jesus understood that His mother Mary was blessed among all women. At the cross, Jesus did not want His mother to weep for Him, but for the children of the future, so that they were to endure the hardships ahead. The mothers were the only ones to stand firmly with Jesus as he died on the cross. Sure John was was there, but what happened to the the other disciples? Motherhood has changed so dramatically today because of the social economic conditions. Women are often facing single parent status; bread-winner, and standard barer for society. The Christian Faith is generally dominated by mothers. There are so many mothers that have moved on to glory. We pray for their souls and praise God and thank God for the gift of love we had in this life. Jesus knew that the times in which we live will be a real challenge. However, Jesus understood the absolute power of faith. Jesus died in the cross to save us from sin. God raised Jesus from the grave where he first appeared to the women/mothers to care for his anointing. But He was risen. My mother is alive but barely. This mother's day is one of joy and pain. The Joy of Jesus is the true gift of motherhood. Blessed is the fruit of thy womb. Happy Mother's Day to all God's Children....

By Saving Faith, One Looks Outside Oneself to Christ

See here the appropriating nature of saving faith. It takes hold of Christ and His sacrifice for sinners as made known in the Word of truth. It says, Here is a love letter from heaven about the glorious Gospel of the Son of God, which gives an account of Christ's love and the strongest and greatest possible proofs thereof. I see that this letter is for me, for it is addressed to sinners, yea, to the very chief of sinners. It both invites and commands me to receive this Divine Lover to myself and to believe unfeignedly in the sufficiency of His atoning blood for my sins. Therefore I take Him as He is freely proffered by the Gospel, and rely on His own word: "him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out" (John 6:37). This faith comes not by feelings of my love to Christ, but by the hearing of His love for sinners (Rom. 5:8; 10:17). True, the Holy Spirit, in the day of His power, makes impressions on the heart by the Word. Yet the ground of faith is not those impressions, but the Gospel itself. The Object of faith is not Christ working on the heart and softening it, but rather Christ as He is presented to our acceptance in the Word. What we are called upon to hear is not Christ speaking secretly within us, but Christ speaking openly, objectively, without us.
