Second Chance - Wednesday, January 16, 2013 | Daily

Second Chance
THE POWER OF GOD WITHIN BRINGS MY TRUE SELF INTO EXPRESSION.
Sometimes we may feel as though we are our own worst enemy. We may think, If I could just get myself out of the way, everything would be all right. This is a state of inner turmoil, but through the power of God, we can find peace.
Instead of self-condemnation or despair, we can remember that even though we feel we have fallen short, we always have a second chance to do our best. The self that seems to misstep or flounder is not our true self. Our true self—made in the image and likeness of God—cannot fail.
We relax and know that the power of God within us brings our true self into expression. As we unify our thoughts, emotions and desires to the spirit of God within, we are blessed with a new day.
No one can serve two masters.—Matthew 6:24

Joy - Tuesday, January 15, 2013 | Daily Word

Joy
I CREATE A LIFE OF JOY.
Many people have a standard response to the greeting, “Hello. How are you?” For some it might be, “Fine. Thanks.” But what if my response was, “Joyful!” Would it change my thoughts? Would it change the way I view myself and my life?
I choose to live every day in the joy of Spirit. To help me, I can create a “joy chest” of happy memories—pictures, poems and stories that make me smile and inspire me, clippings of things I have done or want to do. I choose items that delight and excite me.
If I am not feeling joyful, I tap into my “joy chest” and remember everything that brings me happiness. As I string together day after joyful day, I create a wonderful and blessed life.
You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be happy, and it shall go well.—Psalm 128:2

Healing - Monday, January 14, 2013 | Daily Word

Healing
IN MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT, I AM WHOLE AND WELL.
Each event in my life gives me the opportunity to heal and grow emotionally, physically and spiritually. I embrace these opportunities and move boldly into wholeness. If the words or actions of others have hurt me, or if fear or doubt leave me disheartened, I turn within to the Divine for guidance and support. I am strengthened as I focus on my oneness with God.
If I seek healing of a physical injury or illness, I trust the power of God within. I open my mind and heart to divine healing. I give thanks for those who have the skills, knowledge and wisdom to help me heal, and I allow them to do so.
My well-being depends on my ongoing communion with the Divine.
The centurion answered, “Lord, … speak the word, and my servant will be healed.”—Matthew 8:8

Guidance - Sunday, January 13, 2013 | Daily Word

Guidance
I REST IN THE HOLY PLACE WITHIN AND AM GUIDED TO RIGHT ANSWERS.
Faced with conflicting choices in making an important decision, I revisit the holy place within me, where I can find the guidance I seek.
In prayer, I sense divine wisdom nudging me toward the answers that are right for me. I trust the wisdom of God imprinted on my soul and tap into my intuition. I know I have found my right path when I feel a sense of peace settling into my consciousness.
In this sacred communion with loving wisdom, I am inspired to make choices that are morally and spiritually in integrity with the truth of who I am. I am a child of God—clear and directed, wise and loving. I fearlessly act upon the guidance I receive to make sound, God-inspired decisions.
In your steadfast love … you guided them by your strength to your holy abode.—Exodus 15:13

God’s Light - Saturday, January 12, 2013 | Daily Word

God’s Light
THE LIGHT AND LOVE OF GOD WARM MY HEART AND BRIGHTEN MY DAYS.

During the short days of winter, we see less of the sun, but it hasn’t disappeared. The earth has moved, but the sun is still shining bright and clear.
At times I may feel as if I am in darkness, disconnected from the light of God. Yet God’s light and love are always available. Even when I struggle, God is here for me.
I need only shift my focus to rediscover God. I close my eyes and imagine the light of God everywhere in and around me. I feel it warming my heart and illumining my mind.
God’s presence relieves me of any burdens. I feel lighter and more energetic in body, mind and spirit. God’s light and love fill my heart and brighten my days.
For you who revere my name the sun of righteousness shall rise, with healing in its wings.—Malachi 4:2

World Peace - Friday, January 11, 2013 | Daily Word

World Peace
I COMMIT TO A PATH TO PEACE.
I may be tempted to focus on what is wrong with the world as headlines highlight stories of chaos and conflict. If I dwell on that news, I feel discouraged. Instead, I choose to focus on what is right with the world. I notice the inspiring evidence of goodness and peace being shared.
People all over the world are helping others in distress. Volunteers build houses, grow crops, and provide medical care. Community members stand up for neighbors who have been treated poorly.
I see evidence of Spirit manifesting as good works sprout, grow and enrich our world. I find ways to spread peace and love by sharing my time, skills and resources within my community and beyond.
Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.—Proverbs 3:17

Let Go, Let God - Thursday, January 10, 2013 | Daily Word

Let Go, Let God - Thursday, January 10, 2013 | Daily Word

Let Go, Let God
AS I LET GO AND LET GOD, I AM IN THE DIVINE FLOW OF LIFE.
Chores, tasks, commitments—I always have plenty to do. At times, I may even let my to-do list manage me, rather than the other way around. So today, I take a different approach: I let go.
I let go of rush, resentment, perfectionism and any feelings of insufficiency. Whatever I choose to do, I focus on it with gratitude, aware of the presence of God in this moment and in this work. I let God direct me through each activity with grace and ease, and I experience the joy of giving.
When I finish, I bless what I have done and move on to my next task. I work in this way throughout the day, letting go and letting God steer me from one activity to the next. I am in the divine flow, and I am grateful.
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.—John 14:1

Monthly Affirmations

Affirmations are positive statements of Truth. By affirming Truth we are lifted out of false thinking into the consciousness of Spirit. Each time we pray positively and faithfully, we are calling forth the divine activity that is always within us.
We focus on these daily prayers and affirmations throughout the month for greater expression of our divine inner light. Giving thanks in advance, we claim each affirmation as true for ourselves and our loved ones, remaining open and receptive to the highest good for all.

Pray for Others - Wednesday, January 09, 2013 | Daily Word

Pray for Others
I PRAY AFFIRMING PEACE, WHOLENESS, WISDOM AND PROSPERITY FOR ALL.
When I call Silent Unity for prayer support, I hear the comforting words: “How may we pray with you?” In that sacred moment, the power of prayer is palpable. After the call, my name, and the names of everyone who has requested prayer, are placed in a prayer vigil chapel for 30 days of continuous prayer.
Prayer is unceasing in Silent Unity. I act in spiritual partnership with this global prayer ministry whenever I pray and whenever I include others in myprayers for peace, wholeness, wisdom and prosperity. Any seeming distance in time or space disappears through prayer. We are one. Whether I am praying alone or with others, I affirm the well-being of all expressions of God in the world.
They long for you and pray for you because of the surpassing grace of God.—2 Corinthians 9:14

The Sermon On The Mount - Chapter Thirty-Two

The Sermon On The Mount - Chapter Thirty-Two

Faith - Tuesday, January 08, 2013 | Daily Word

Faith - Tuesday, January 08, 2013 | Daily Word

Faith
EMPOWERED BY FAITH, I CLAIM MY GOOD.
Faith is the power that turns the invisible into the visible. In the game of golf, if a golfer is distracted by self-doubt or preoccupied with future events, his or her shot will likely go astray. A successful golfer pauses before each shot to imagine completing the stroke and seeing the ball land where intended. Each shot is directed by the golfer’s clarity of focus and powered by faith.
I can use this same power to succeed in any situation. I heed my inner wisdom, envision my desired outcome, and proceed with intention. I hold in mind a clear picture of my expectation being met and focus on creating the experience. Empowered by faith, I claim my good.
So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.—Mark 11:24

Alive - Monday, January 07, 2013 | Daily Word

Alive
I AM ALIVE WITH THE AWARENESS OF GOD. MY LIFE IS BLESSED.
I am alive, alert, awake and enthusiastic about life! With this affirmation of truth, I give thanks for this day, grateful for the adventure and excited to discover the blessings ahead.
Feeling alive with the spirit of God, I appreciate every person and everything around me. It is as if a veil has been lifted. I clearly see the blessings in my life, and my eyes are opened to the goodness of God. I welcome new opportunities to be a channel for God’s good to flow.
Focused on God, I feel a new surge of energy and purpose. I am alive spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally—alive with the awareness of God.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long.—Psalm 23:6

Restore - Sunday, January 06, 2013 | Daily Word:Restore
I AM HEALTHY AND WHOLE.
I have in me the “same mind … that was in Christ Jesus.” As I embrace divine ideas of Truth—peace, love, health and strength—I lift my consciousness to Christ Mind, and I am guided to choices that restore my health and wholeness. My well-being is established in body, mind and spirit.
In Christ Consciousness, I see myself and all others perfect, healthy and strong. I lay aside any belief in limitation and realize the truth of abundant life and health.
As I think of loved ones facing health or other challenges, I behold the Christ within them. I see their divine wholeness, and I am confident of their inner and outer restoration. I see them moving through any challenge, emerging whole, healed and strong.
Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus.—Philippians 2:5

Fresh Start - Saturday, January 05, 2013 | Daily Word

Fresh Start
A NEW ME IS BEING REVEALED EACH DAY.
An ending to something meaningful in my life may come as a surprise or as a dreaded outcome. When I hear or think the words, “It’s over,” I may feel confused or even hopeless. Yet whether anticipated or not, an ending is also a chance for a new beginning, an opportunity for a fresh start.
When a relationship or a job has run its course, or a way of life no longer suits me, I make a new choice. Success comes as I learn from my mistakes, pick myself up, and begin anew. I turn within to release thoughts of the past, and I am encouraged by the love and wisdom that springs forth from the presence of God within me. As I rely on God, I discover all I can enjoy and accomplish in life. A new me is being revealed each day.
I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?—Isaiah 43:19

Forgive - Friday, January 04, 2013 | Daily Word

Forgive
WITH GOD’S HELP, I FORGIVE.
In this new year, I inventory my life to assess what I want and don’t want. I ask myself, What am I experiencing in my mind and heart? Observing my innermost thoughts and feelings, I take note of what I wish to keep and what I am ready to release.
I hold close to heart the thoughts, beliefs and habits that foster my spiritual growth, enhance my relationships, and sustain my well-being. If I am holding on to resentments or hurts, I seek God’s guidance in freeing my soul and releasing these burdens.
I am willing to forgive others and myself, to let go and trust God to lead me through any challenge. With each act of forgiveness, I feel lighter and I invite more good into all areas of my life.
Be kind to one another … forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.–Ephesians 4:32

Accomplish - Thursday, January 03, 2013 | Daily Word

Accomplish
I ACCOMPLISH MY GOALS BY LISTENING TO THE INDWELLING SPIRIT OF GOD.
As I pursue a goal, I do my best and take pride in my progress. I may seek to release a bad habit or adopt a healthy new one, to overcome a difficulty or to learn a new skill. Even if I am unsure how to accomplish my goal, I know I will be guided and supported along the way.
As I envision success, I imagine the feelings that will come with accomplishing it—feelings such as confidence, freedom and joy. I spend time in the stillness to pray, meditate, listen to Spirit, and discern my next steps.
I don’t need all the answers at once. I simply need to move forward one step at a time. I am propelled by divine energy and guided by the infinite wisdom of Spirit.
Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more eager to confirm your call and election, for if you do this, you will never stumble.—2 Peter 1:10

Source
GOD IS MY SOURCE OF INFINITE GOOD.
A miner digs deep into the earth to find gold. To be successful, he may have to search for years, with many false starts.
The source of abundance in my life is God, infinite and ever-present. Unlike the miner who requires great effort and expense to unearth his good, I simply turn within inprayer to access the true riches of life.
My Source is never depleted. It is a rich supply of divine ideas, understanding, wisdom and strength—all I need for a full and complete life. These gifts already lie within me, and they are always available. In fact, the more I access and use the gifts of God, the more they grow.
God is my Source of infinite good, and I am complete.
They feast on the abundance of your house … For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.—Psalm 36:8, 9

New Year - Tuesday, January 01, 2013 | Daily Word

New Year
I GREET THE NEW YEAR WITH GREAT EXPECTATIONS.
As the new year begins, I realize I have the opportunity to joyfully co-create the life I desire. Whatever my current circumstances, transformation is at my fingertips.
When Noah sought to know what possibilities lay after the flood, he released a dove and waited patiently for it to return. Similarly, I release my thinking to imagine all the possibilities the year might hold, and I embrace the ideas that arise within me and reinvigorate my soul.
Grateful for the memories and lessons of the past, I look forward with joyful anticipation to the year ahead. I am wise, worthy and excited about life, as I claim and pursue the desires of my heart.
The dove came back to him … and there in its beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf.–Genesis 8:11
