The crowd greets him with palm branches and with praises. Some Greeks were also in Jerusalem at the time and ask to see Jesus. Today’s reading concludes with Jesus speaking about his death, knowing that he will fulfill God’s purpose and bring glory to God the Father.

He tells them that the LORD has kept his promise in having Solomon build the Temple. (The construction of the Temple and bringing the Covenant Box to the Temple are described in 2 Chronicles, chapters 2–5).
