Let Go - Monday, October 13, 2014 | Daily Word

I LET GO OF THE PAST AND OPEN THE WAY TO GREATER GOOD.
At times we may find it easier to be kind to others than we are to ourselves. We may criticize ourselves more harshly or obsess over mistakes we have made. Yet we can free ourselves from self-condemnation by acknowledging and releasing our past mistakes. We have grown, and we know better now.
When we find ourselves dwelling on the past, we can affirm: I bless the experience and everyone concerned. I have learned and grown. I am free now to more fully express the qualities of God in me.
As we let go of the past and lay down our burdens and regrets, we open the way to greater good, which we are now ready to receive.

Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have boldness before God; and we receive from him whatever we ask.—1 John 3:21, 22

Prosperity

I GIVE AND RECEIVE WITH EASE AND GRACE.
When I am in the divine flow of prosperity, I give and receive with ease and grace. Nothing causes me to withhold my gifts, whether they be financial, emotional, or simply helpful. As I feel led to give, I do so freely. I experience the joy of serving others with generosity.
Equally important to the experience of prosperity is receiving graciously. When someone gives me a present, a smile, an offer for help, or a listening ear, I am fully present to receive the gift. I give the giver my full attention and express genuine gratitude for their thoughtfulness.
I practice the prosperity principle of circulation. As I give, I receive; and as I receive, I give. I am blessed.

Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above.—James 1:17

Grace

I ACCEPT THE ACTIVITY OF GOD IN ME AND IN MY LIFE.
Unity minister and author Eric Butterworth wrote, “Grace is simply an explanation of a wonderful facet of the activity of God in you. It is not something to work for, to develop. It simply is.”
I wholeheartedly accept the blessing of grace—the activity of God in me and in my life. Each day brings opportunities to learn and grow in spiritual understanding. And it is grace that saves me from tougher consequences when I make a mistake.
The grace of God inspires me to be more accepting, loving, and caring of myself and others. I accept myself as a worthy, capable, and lovable expression of God. I appreciate the love of God expressed through grace, which is always available to me.

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all.–Titus 2:11

Set Free - Friday, October 10, 2014 | Daily Word

I SET MY SPIRIT FREE.
The aurora borealis, commonly known as the Northern Lights, is one of nature’s most spectacular nighttime displays. Green and red ribbons of light dance gracefully across the sky. Such phenomena remind me of the infinite grandeur of Spirit and the expansiveness of my own spiritual nature.
Spirit in me is daring and dazzling. I allow my inner radiance to express easily and naturally in creative, brilliant, and beautiful ways.
I liberate my Spirit. I set it free! And Spirit in me weaves itself gracefully through even the darkest times of my life, like a ribbon of holy light consecrating everything and everyone it touches.

Out of the north comes golden splendor; around God is awesome majesty.—Job 37:22

Healing

I AM ONE WITH THE STREAM OF HEALING LIFE.
The first step in all spiritual healing is to believe, followed by an openness and receptivity to the stream of divine healing life. Through the exercise of my faith, my words, and the power of the Christ within, I experience health and wholeness.
I affirm the healing activity of the Christ in me. If doubts or fears arise, I gently let them go and reaffirm my faith in God’s healing power. I speak words of appreciation and encouragement to myself and to my body. I keep my words positive and life-affirming.
One with the stream of healing life, I am whole, vital, and infused with energy. This is true for me and for those with whom I pray. I hold a vision of wholeness and keep an unwavering faith in healing.

Then your light shall break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up quickly.–Isaiah 58:8

Protected

GOD IS EVERYWHERE PRESENT, AND I AM SAFE.
Sometimes I may feel the need to defend myself, my home, or my family. Yet even at these times, I can remember a simple truth—the indwelling spirit of God is with me in every moment. I am protected and cared for through the abiding presence of this mighty power.
In times of conflict, war, crime, defamation, or natural disaster, God is there. I focus on my heart and claim my protection: God is everywhere present, guiding and leading me to safety.
God fills me with courage and empowers me with good judgment and wisdom. Attuned to the loving presence of God, I act with calm confidence.

The beloved of the Lord rests in safety—the High God surrounds him all day long—the beloved rests between his shoulders.—Deuteronomy 33:12

Pray for Others - Tuesday, October 07, 2014 | Daily Word

Pray for Others

I BLESS OTHERS THROUGH PRAYER.
Praying for another is like giving an anonymous gift. I imagine the individual receiving the ideas, direction, and answers they need. When I pray for someone’s health, I envision them vibrant and energized, healed and whole. As I pray for friends and family, I see them receiving exactly what they need at exactly the time they need it. If I affirm a specific outcome, I always add “this or something better.”
Part of my prayer activity is to also let go. If I pray for someone’s well-being but continue to worry, I am demonstrating doubt rather than faith. Instead, I pray with confidence that God is already making known what needs to be known and providing the right and perfect answers to everyone’s needs.

Pray for one another, so that you may be healed.—James 5:16
