Let Go, Let God - Monday, July 28, 2014 | Daily Word

Let Go, Let God - Monday, July 28, 2014 | Daily Word

I LET GO AND FIND ANSWERS WITHIN.
Confinement can be self-inflicted. Just like the monkey who reaches in a jar to grab a banana: When he makes a fist around the food and refuses to let go, he becomes stuck. Sometimes I find myself cramped and confined, stuck in patterns, beliefs, or behaviors that do not serve me well.
My return to freedom and renewal begins with realizing my limitations are self-imposed. With awareness, I can release my grip and turn to the Divine Presence. “Letting go” allows me to relax and realize I am not alone. “Letting God” leads me to answers, healing, and peace of mind. I am no longer confined to the ways of the past. As I place my faith in God, I open to new opportunities.

Happy are those who make the Lord their trust.—Psalm 40:4

Talents - Sunday, July 27, 2014 | Daily Word

I BOLDLY SHARE MY SPIRITUAL GIFTS.
Jesus’ parable of the talents expresses the spiritual law of increase. If I let fear or self-doubt prevail, I become like the servant who, upon receiving one talent from his master, buried it. When the servant returned with nothing more than the same one talent, his master took even that gift away.
I choose to live boldly in faith rather than fear, like the two other servants in Jesus’ parable who did not diminish, hide, or hoard their talents, but wisely invested all they were given. Like these faithful servants, I explore exciting and creative ways to express and share my spiritual gifts for the greatest good of all. As I honor my God-given talents, even greater gifts are revealed to me, and my joy and prosperity multiply.

You have been trustworthy in a few things, I will put you in charge of many things.—Matthew 25:23

Camaraderie - Saturday, July 26, 2014 | Daily Word

THE LOVE OF GOD IS EXPRESSED THROUGH MY FRIENDS.
One way the love of God expresses is through friendship. I feel valued and valuable as I connect with my friends. They deepen my experience of life, and our camaraderie is mutually supportive.
With encouraging words and supportive actions, we lift one another’s spirits. We share times of joy and adversity, growing together in friendship. We accept each other as we are and hold faith in positive outcomes for one another. We share a love that has no opposition, only respect, kindness, and a sense of ease.
As I encourage, reassure, or console a friend, I am expressing Divine Love and that love is expressed back to me.

All of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind.—1 Peter

Healing

I ACTIVATE THE HEALING POWER OF DIVINE LOVE.
Love heals. Love is an energy that harmonizes any discord I might be experiencing in myself or in the world. Love is a light that reveals the truth of my wholeness.
Divine Love, everywhere present, is the very nature and essence of my being. Turning within, I recognize and activate the life-affirming and restorative power of Divine Love within me. I deserve to experience the health and wholeness inherent in me. I attract health by adopting practices of self-care and making decisions that improve my life in all aspects.
Established in the awareness of Love’s rejuvenating power, I express the truth of my essential wholeness and well-being today and every day.

The Lord, your God, is in your midst … he will renew you in his love.—Zephaniah 3:17

Forgive - Thursday, July 24, 2014 | Daily Word

I FORGIVE, AND I AM FORGIVEN.
When a disagreement or other conflict occurs, who is responsible for the feelings that are left over? I am. Although the other party played a role, my feelings are my responsibility.
After an upsetting experience, forgiveness is the place to begin. Turning within, I contemplate my divine nature and recognize the divinity in others; I consciously and deliberately forgive any of my words, actions, or thoughts that do not reveal divinity, and I do the same for others.
The moment I forgive, I am receptive to divine forgiveness. This is the promise of the wisest sages and a spiritual truth I live each day.

Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you.—Mark 11:25

Illumination - Wednesday, July 23, 2014 | Daily Word

THE LIGHT OF A NEW DAY IS DAWNING IN MY CONSCIOUSNESS. I WALK SERENE AND SURE.
Let us unite in prayer for the realization of spiritual light, which will illumine our ways in the days to come. In scriptural symbology, a new day represents a degree of unfoldment in spiritual consciousness. When the light of a new day dawns in our consciousness, it dissipates any condition of spiritual darkness that may have preceded it, just as the sunrise following the dawn dissipates the night and makes all things clear and beautiful.
As the light of a new day dawns in our consciousness, all indecision and all uncertainty are done away with. We see before us opportunities for realizing our good, for practicing good will toward all people, for loving God with all our hearts, minds, and strength. Each day, each moment offers us new opportunity.

If my people … pray … then will I hear … and will heal their land.—2 Chronicles 7:14

Employment - Tuesday, July 22, 2014 | Daily Word

MY WORK BLESSES ME.
I use my present employment as a vehicle to share my gifts and enrich my life. Whether my work is at home or outside the home, volunteer or paid, I strive for a job well done.
If I am seeking employment, I begin by thanking God for the gifts I bring to the world. I seek to serve with a generous heart and receive bountifully.
If I already have a job, I express gratitude for it every day. I bless my coworkers and my income. I stay present to what is mine to do and release the results to God. When supervising others, I am considerate and encouraging.
Whatever my calling may be, my work is a blessing to me. I appreciate and celebrate it.

Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and prosper for us the work of our hands.—Psalm 90:17
