Let Go, Let God - Tuesday, February 05, 2013 | Daily Word

Let Go, Let God
I HOLD POSITIVE EXPECTATIONS, AND I TRUST GOD.
Some say worry is the most common—although unintentional—form of prayer. It is a habit of focusing on negative possibilities, and it drains one’s energy and blocks effective action. Rather than worry, I choose to focus on positive possibilities and trust God for right outcomes.
Becoming still in prayer, I see beyond any seeming setback to the activity of God within the situation. I know that all those involved are enfolded in God’s love and guided in every way. In the Silence, I release any need for a specific outcome and open to a spiritual solution.
As I transform my thoughts, I am relieved of any worry. I trust God in all things, and I am free mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
You know him, because he abides with you, and he will be in you.—John 14:17

Strength - Monday, February 04, 2013 | Daily Word

Strength
I AM FILLED WITH THE LIFE, STRENGTH AND ENERGY OF GOD.
Our bodies respond to our thoughts and feelings. If I am feeling depressed or unhappy, my body feels it. If I am feeling stressed and hurried, my body becomes tense and tired. Conversely, my body responds just as readily to positive thoughts.
When I affirm with conviction, I am filled with the life, strength and energy of God, I stir up these divine qualities within me. The life and intelligence in my body respond, and I feel an upsurge of energy throughout my being. The healing life of God flows through me and I call it forth through my thoughts and affirmative prayers. As I do, my body as well as my mind and emotions are strengthened and uplifted.
He gives power to the faint, and strengthens the powerless.—Isaiah 40:29

Forgive - Sunday, February 03, 2013 | Daily Word

Forgive
I FORGIVE, AND I AM FORGIVEN.
One of Jesus’ fundamental teachings was forgiveness. He told his disciples: “Whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him.” When Peter asked how often it was necessary to forgive, Jesus told him not only seven times, but seventy times seven. In other words, forgive continuously.
Forgiveness opens channels of communication. It frees the heart, eases burdens and fosters growth. Forgiveness opens the way to deeper, more meaningful relationships.
In my daily prayer time, I forgive anyone I believe has wronged me. I forgive myself and acknowledge the power of God within me and the spirit of love in which I am created. I forgive, and I am forgiven.
I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.–Matthew 18:22 (NKJV)

Change - Saturday, February 02, 2013 | Daily Word

Change
I OPEN TO THE BLESSINGS OF CHANGE.
Though change is inevitable in life, I may not always welcome it. The good news is I can change my thoughts about change! If I am feeling unsettled about a new situation, I can soften my resistance by looking for hidden gems in the unfolding experience.
Like a child digging in the sand for buried treasure, I search beyond appearances until I find gold. I see change as an opportunity for greater understanding and spiritual growth.
With practice, I welcome change as the catalyst for discovering the kingdom of God within me. I look for gold, look for good, and look for God in every person and every unfolding situation. I am open to the blessings of change.
Unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.—Matthew 18:3

Faith - Friday, February 01, 2013 | Daily Word

Faith
I DO NOT PRAY FOR FAITH; I PRAY FROM FAITH!
Faith perceives the substance of Spirit. I activate the power of my faith by choosing to see challenges as spiritual potential. From this vantage point, I zero in on dynamic thoughts that reveal divine possibilities not yet visible to me.
When I enter into prayer, I do not pray for faith. My praying indicates I already have faith! I claim that faith as I affirm: Challenges have no power over me! The power and strength of God within shifts, shapes and illuminates all aspects of this situation, to make my way clear.
I am not shaken or swayed by impatience, doubt or the skepticism of others. I plant my feet on a foundation of Truth—and stand firm in faith!
If you do not stand firm in faith, you shall not stand at all.—Isaiah 7:9

MY ENERGY IS PROPERLY DIRECTED, AND I LIVE A HAPPY LIFE.
Life is energy and the results I see in my life are a reflection of how I am directing my energy. If life seems unsatisfying, perhaps I am not expending my energy in a God-directed way.
Life is meant to be lived fully and intentionally. When my thoughts and conversations are positive and uplifting, I contribute to peace and harmony in my home, at workand in my social group. I have a joyous outlook on life. My thoughts are inspired; my words are strong, kind, loving and effective; my actions are purposeful and definite.
As I allow the spirit of God within to direct my actions and attitudes in constructive ways, I live a happy life.
My speech and my proclamation were not with plausible words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power.—1 Corinthians 2:4
