Helping Others
EVERY PERSON IS SUPPORTED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD WITHIN.
As I grow in faith and understanding, I become aware of the soul needs of others. Just as I have learned to look to Spirit within for my own clarity, I allow others to follow their guidance from Spirit.
If I am carrying undue responsibility for another’s spiritual growth or well-being, I pray for help in letting go. From my human view, it may seem impossible for my loved one to solve his or her own problems. Yet each soul is supported by the spirit of God within. Each soul finds what it needs.
My part in helping another is to trust and know the spirit of God is within them. If it is mine to assist, it will be revealed to me. In the meantime, I give them the blessing of my faith and respect.
Truly it is the spirit in a mortal, the breath of the Almighty, that makes for understanding.—Job 32:8

Dance
I DANCE MY OWN DANCE!
I connect with the Divine in many ways. If I am not drawn to quiet meditation today, I may shift gears and enjoy a more “Spirited” prayer time. I mindfully select an upbeat song with empowering lyrics—and I dance. Immersing myself in the joy of the moment, I sing and dance with abandon. I imagine I am the star of my own music video! I freely release all thoughts of doubt and worry, fear and anxiety, struggle and strife, and become attuned to the vibration of the music and the message. Unencumbered by my intellect or ego, I connect with the Divine.
As the song ends, I feel uplifted in body, mind and spirit. I realize I have my own song and dance to contribute to the world, and I dance it freely and with joy.
You shall take your tambourines, and go forth in the dance of the merrymakers.—Jeremiah 31:4

Prosperity
DIVINE SUBSTANCE IS THE LIVING SOURCE OF MY SUPPLY.
I live in an abundant world. Everything I need for a complete and satisfying life is available to me now. God—the essence of all Life—is my source and my substance.
If I think my life is lacking in any way, I need only become more conscious of the presence of God as living substance, divine ideas and unlimited potential. I release any belief in lack or limitation and give thanks for abundant good. Even if my money or possessions seem small, I bless what I have. I bless my body, mind, skills and talents. I bless my friends and loved ones. I bless the air I breathe, the sun and the rain.
Aware of God’s unending supply, I awaken to the goodness that surrounds me. I am infinitely blessed and prosperous.
For to all those who have, more will be given, and they will have an abundance.—Matthew 25:29

Energy
I DIRECT MY ENERGY INTO CONSTRUCTIVE CHANNELS.
Every cell in my body is a center of spiritual energy. This energy is an expression of God-power that is mighty and eternal. I am a human dynamo of spiritual power, and I choose how to use it every day.
I do not squander my precious resources on condemnation, complaining or regret. I use my energy constructively, expressing love, joy and faith in all that is good. I see the bright side of every situation and look beyond outer appearances to the reality of God.
The privilege of choosing how to direct my energy is a sacred gift, for my well-being and happiness depend on it. I direct my energy into constructive channels and choose gratitude, joy and abundance.
Choose this day whom you will serve … as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.–Joshua 24:15

Faith - Wednesday, October 31, 2012 | Daily Word: "Faith
I RELY ON THE INFINITE WISDOM OF GOD.
The writer of Hebrews defined faith as “the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” My faith encompasses all areas of life, and I focus it firmly on an expectation of good. Through my faith in God, I am inspired to live fully and confidently. I meet challenges with the assurance of ever-present help and guidance. To access infinite wisdom, I need only quiet my thoughts, turn within, ask and listen.
I rely on divine wisdom to help me identify growth opportunities and guide me in expressing more of my Christ nature. I rely on divine wisdom when making decisions, trusting I will know the best choice for the good of all concerned. Faith helps me manage my life, and infinite wisdom shows me the way. I have faith in the infinite wisdom of God.
Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God.”—Mark 11:22"

READ: 1 Kings 11:1-13
Shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life. —Philippians 2:15-16
As I waited to make a right-hand turn at a busy intersection, an ambulance appeared over the crest of a hill, speeding in my direction. Someone behind me honked, urging me into the crossroads. I knew the ambulance would be unlikely to stop and that it could have been disastrous to make my turn. So I kept my foot on the brake pedal and stayed put.
Spiritually speaking, we need to “stay put” and remain faithful to God despite pressure from others. King Solomon had to learn this the hard way. He began his reign by asking God for wisdom (1 Kings 3:9), and his prayer at the dedication of the temple revealed his loyalty (8:23,61). But he did not remain committed. He married many foreign women who eventually influenced him to worship other gods. By the end of his life, his “heart was not loyal to the Lord” (11:1-6; Neh. 13:26).
Today, just as in ancient times, people may prompt us to shift our loyalty away from God and His truth. Yet with God’s help we can hold fast to the word of life (Phil. 2:16). If you feel pressured to enter a dangerous intersection of beliefs, study God’s Word, put on His armor (Eph. 6:10-18), and ask the Holy Spirit for help (1 Cor. 2:10-12). Then stand fast with your fellow believers in Christ. —Jennifer Benson Schuldt
Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
Stand in His strength alone;
The arm of flesh will fail you—
Ye dare not trust your own. —Duffield

To avoid being pulled into error, keep a firm grip on the truth.
