And the second is like, namely this , Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
But love ye your enemies, and do good , and lend , hoping for nothing again ; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you , Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Charity suffereth long , and is kind ; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself , is not puffed up , Doth not behave itself unseemly , seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked , thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth : but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail ; whether there be tongues, they shall cease ; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away .
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment . He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish , but have everlasting life.

And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up . And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates: That your days may be multiplied , and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth. For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;
I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, that ye stir not up , nor awake my love, until he please . Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth : there she brought thee forth that bare thee. Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame. Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned . We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for ?
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it , Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
