Daily Word The Joy of Jesus

Home | Daily Word: "AUTHENTICITY
I am a perfect expression of the Divine, just as I am.
As I look in the mirror, the reflection I see is a face of God. One of billions of expressions of the One Power, I am absolutely unique. The moment of my creation brought gifts, talents and experiences that belong to no one else. Knowing this, how can I question the design of the Creator?

Today I drop the illusion that I should look or act like someone else. Any admirable quality I see in others is already a part of me. My work today is to be my best self. I apply my wisdom to make healthy, peace-filled choices. With an open heart, I share my gifts of love. There is no one else I want to be because I am a perfect expression of the Divine, just as I am.

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. --Psalm 139:14"

2 Corinthians 11:1-33 "Would to God ye could bear with me..." KJV - Online Bible Study

2 Corinthians 11:1-33 "Would to God ye could bear with me..." KJV - Online Bible StudyWould to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. 2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3 But I fear , lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached , or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received , or another gospel, which ye have not accepted , ye might well bear with him. 5 For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles. 6 But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things. 7 Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted , because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely? 8 I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service. 9 And when I was present with you, and wanted , I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied : and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself. 10 As the truth of Christ is in me , no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia. 11 Wherefore? because I love you not? God knoweth . 12 But what I do , that I will do , that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory , they may be found even as we. 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 16 I say again, Let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little. 17 That which I speak , I speak it not after the Lord, but as it were foolishly , in this confidence of boasting. 18 Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also. 19 For ye suffer fools gladly, seeing ye yourselves are wise. 20 For ye suffer , if a man bring you into bondage , if a man devour you, if a man take of you, if a man exalt himself , if a man smite you on the face. 21 I speak as concerning reproach, as though we had been weak . Howbeit whereinsoever any is bold , (I speak foolishly ,) I am bold also. 22 Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I. 23 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool ) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. 24 Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. 25 Thrice was I beaten with rods , once was I stoned , thrice I suffered shipwreck , a night and a day I have been in the deep; 26 In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; 27 In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. 28 Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily , the care of all the churches. 29 Who is weak , and I am not weak ? who is offended , and I burn not? 30 If I must needs glory , I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities. 31 The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not. 32 In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison , desirous to apprehend me: 33 And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.

Daily Word The Joy of Jesus Today

Home | Daily Word: "SERVICE
I am centered in Spirit, eager to discover all I can do and be.
I avail myself of every opportunity for growth and service by keeping my mind open and my soul receptive. I do not shrink from a challenge or new adventure. Every opportunity finds me eager and ready to serve in larger, more generous ways.

In order to serve God and others confidently and courageously, I open the door of my mind to divine understanding, the door of my heart to divine love, and the door of my life to divine Presence. I let the spirit of God flow through me as I play an active role in the world around me.

I am an open channel for the expression of God. Releasing any limiting thoughts, I listen, learn and let God work through me.

Those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God.--John 3:21"

2 Corinthians 10:1-18 "Now I Paul myself beseech you..." KJV - Online Bible Study

2 Corinthians 10:1-18 "Now I Paul myself beseech you..." KJV - Online Bible Study
Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you: 2 But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh. 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled . 7 Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's. 8 For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed : 9 That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters. 10 For his letters , say they , are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible . 11 Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent , such will we be also in deed when we are present . 12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number , or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise . 13 But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you. 14 For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ: 15 Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men's labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased , that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly , 16 To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man's line of things made ready to our hand. 17 But he that glorieth , let him glory in the Lord. 18 For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth . 36 Jehoiakim was twenty and five years old when he began to reign ; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Zebudah, the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah. 37 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers had done . 1 In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up , and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him. 2 And the LORD sent against him bands of the Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servants the prophets. 3 Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did ; 4 And also for the innocent blood that he shed : for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon . 5 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did , are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? 6 So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead. 7 And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his land: for the king of Babylon had taken from the river of Egypt unto the river Euphrates all that pertained to the king of Egypt. 8 Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign , and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. And his mother's name was Nehushta, the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem. 9 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father had done . 10 At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged . 11 And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, and his servants did besiege it. 12 And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign . 13 And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said . 14 And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour, even ten thousand captives , and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained , save the poorest sort of the people of the land. 15 And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land, those carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon. 16 And all the men of might, even seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all that were strong and apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon. 17 And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his father's brother king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah. 18 Zedekiah was twenty and one years old when he began to reign , and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah. 19 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done . 20 For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon. 1 The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see . 2 O LORD, how long shall I cry , and thou wilt not hear ! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save ! 3 Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention. 4 Therefore the law is slacked , and judgment doth never go forth : for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth . 5 Behold ye among the heathen, and regard , and wonder marvellously : for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe , though it be told you. 6 For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not theirs. 7 They are terrible and dreadful : their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves. 8 Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat . 9 They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand. 10 And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it. 11 Then shall his mind change , and he shall pass over , and offend , imputing this his power unto his god. 12 Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die . O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction . 13 Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously , and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he? 14 And makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them? 15 They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad . 16 Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous. 17 Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?

Daily Word The Joy of Jesus

Home | Daily Word: "FEARLESS
I am one with God. I am courageous and bold.
Love is stronger than fear, and I am filled with the love of God. I trust this extraordinary love to see me through any troubling situation. I am fearless and strong because I am one with God.

If I feel doubt or apprehension, I take a deep breath and turn within to examine my thoughts. My strength and courage grow as I deny fear-based thoughts their power. Love increases as fear diminishes.

God is my Source of peace and courage. I remember this promise: 'I will never leave you or forsake you.' With faith, I move boldly forward, envisioning myself surrounded by divine love, knowing that nothing can penetrate that shield.

Little children, you are from God, and have conquered them; for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.--1 John 4:4"
