FAITH
My faith in God gives me strength and confidence.

How do I define my faith in God? Do I see it as a strengthening power, a guiding presence, an all-knowing assurance? Perhaps it is all of these things and more. My faith in God is a significant part of my life. Through my faith, I have the confidence to do more and be more; I am revitalized in mind and body; and I am uplifted and strengthened in countless ways.

Through my faith, I feel my connection with the uplifting, unlimited presence of God that unites all people and all life as one. Knowing this presence is at work within me and within all living things fills me with a sense of belonging. I know, deep in my heart, that with God I can do and be all that I am meant to.

Mark 6:30-56 "And the apostles gathered themselves together unto..." KJV - Online Bible Study
And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both whatthey had done , and what they had taught . 31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apartinto a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going , and they had noleisure so much as to eat . 32 And they departed into a desert place by ship privately . 33 Andthe people saw them departing , and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, andoutwent them, and came together unto him. 34 And Jesus, when he came out , saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having ashepherd: and he began to teach them many things. 35 And when the day was now far spent, hisdisciples came unto him, and said , This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed: 36Send them away , that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buythemselves bread: for they have nothing to eat . 37 He answered and said unto them, Give yethem to eat . And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, andgive them to eat ? 38 He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye ? go and see . And when they knew , they say , Five, and two fishes. 39 And he commanded them to make all sit down bycompanies upon the green grass. 40 And they sat down in ranks , by hundreds, and by fifties. 41And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed ,and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishesdivided he among them all. 42 And they did all eat , and were filled . 43 And they took up twelvebaskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes. 44 And they that did eat of the loaves were aboutfive thousand men. 45 And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to goto the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people. 46 And when he had sentthem away , he departed into a mountain to pray . 47 And when even was come , the ship was inthe midst of the sea, and he alone on the land. 48 And he saw them toiling in rowing ; for the windwas contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walkingupon the sea, and would have passed by them. 49 But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out : 50 For they all saw him, and were troubled .And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer : it is I; be not afraid .51 And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased : and they were sore amazed inthemselves beyond measure, and wondered . 52 For they considered not the miracle of theloaves: for their heart was hardened . 53 And when they had passed over , they came into theland of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore . 54 And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him, 55 And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carryabout in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was . 56 And whithersoever he entered ,into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they mighttouch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole

E-NEWS The Joy of Jesus: FaithWriters.com-Christian Encouragement - A New Sense of Hope
What do you do when you are having a bad day. Given these economic conditions and weather, there only seems to be bad news. Have you ever wondered why? Is there something that we can do to overcome these unfortunate circumstances? Yes. Jesus is still the light of the world.

In order to better understand our situations one must look at a story regarding several men in a boat during a huge storm. The storm was so strong that the boat was on the verge of being completely destroyed.

The people were wise enough to call on Jesus. Jesus raised His hand and calmed the storm. We must place our hope in Christ Jesus to quiet the storms in our lives. Jesus died on the cross for our sins so that we by faith in him. God raised Jesus from the dead so that we too will live with Him. A new hope for an old problem: Faithlessness. Jesus is our hope.
