Wholeness - Sunday, May 26, 2013 | Daily Word

Wholeness
WHOLENESS IS ALWAYS PRESENT.
I am a divine expression of God—whole, strong, resilient, and vitally alive. Made in the image and likeness of God, I have the capacity to heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
When a health challenge arises in me or someone I care about, I visualize wholeness in the midst of the situation and affirm a mighty healing. I know any illness or injury is temporary, while the immanence of God is permanent.
In prayer and meditation, I picture God’s healing energy in every cell and organ. I affirm wholeness. The life of God flows through me and through those I love. In God, we are whole and healed.
The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light.—Matthew 6:22

Flexibility - Saturday, May 25, 2013 | Daily Word

Flexibility
I AM OPEN AND FLEXIBLE IN EVERY SITUATION.

When I watch trees swaying in the breeze, I am reminded of the importance of being flexible. If it were not for flexibility, the trees would break at the first gust of wind.
I, too, must be flexible—in my expectations, my attitudes, and my view of the world. By being flexible, I open myself to new ideas and opportunities. I do not resist growth, progress, or change. Instead, when challenging situations arise, I bend with the winds of change and I am flexible.
As I gain a new appreciation of the world around me and everyone in it, I thrive and grow. With flexibility, I sway in the breezes of life.
You should rather open your hand, willingly lending enough to meet the need, whatever it may be. —Deuteronomy 15:8

Guidance - Friday, May 24, 2013 | Daily Word

Guidance
I AM RECEPTIVE TO INFINITE WISDOM.
Whether I invite a particular change or it seems thrust on me, change is unsettling. “What should I do?” “What can I do?” I may ask. While advice from others may be helpful, it might also lead me to overthink until I am even more confused.
I turn within to shed divine light on the subject. Going deeper than surface appearances, I become receptive to infinite wisdom. I quiet my thinking mind, and in the stillness, I allow my intuition to be awakened. I know the answers are within me, and I wait for them to unfold. With clarity and calm, I summon the courage to act on the divine guidance I receive. I am thankful for a greater good unfolding through me now.
You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me with honor.—Psalm 73:24

Pray for Others - Thursday, May 23, 2013 | Daily Word

Pray for Others
I PRAY FOR OTHERS, KNOWING THEY ARE DIVINELY SUPPORTED.
When people I care about are facing tough circumstances, ill health, or challenging relationships, it may seem overwhelming. With my mind and heart centered on God, I remember that each spiritual being is on an eternal life journey. Difficult circumstances can lead to a deeper awareness of God’s indwelling presence and power.
The presence of God is more powerful than any temporary life condition. God moves in, through, and as every person. With gratitude, I affirm that my family, friends, and coworkers are divinely supported through every challenge. I affirm they are guided by God’s wisdom and enfolded in divine love. For this truth, I am grateful.
I do not cease to give thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers.—Ephesians 1:16

Generosity - Wednesday, May 22, 2013 | Daily Word

Generosity
I GIVE LOVINGLY AND GENEROUSLY.
True generosity means giving without expectation of reward. The blessing comes from the act of giving itself. Sharing my time, talent, and treasure with others is a pleasure, and I do it lovingly and generously.
Being kind and friendly, being cheerful, listening with compassion, letting someone know they are not alone—these are the most generous gifts I can share. When giving is backed by wisdom and love, it is a divine blessing.
As I give, I become a channel through which God’s gifts express in the world. The blessings of God are abundant—so I give without reservation, allowing God to express through me in generous and loving ways.
A generous person will be enriched.—Proverbs 11:25

Free
I AM FREE TO REALIZE MY UNLIMITED POTENTIAL.
Feelings of unworthiness or self-doubt can cripple our ability to cope with life’s challenges. If I recognize low self-esteem in myself, I take back my power by changing my pattern of thinking. I realize that doubt and worry are nothing but thoughts. I imagine scooping these thoughts up with a bubble wand and gently waving them into the air. I am relieved as I watch them drift away and disappear into nothingness.
Divine Love frees me from limiting thoughts. It is unconditional love, my ballast through every circumstance.
I have the power to choose my feelings and thoughts. So today, I choose peace, worthiness, and joy. I claim freedom from limitation and realize my full potential.
Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble.—Psalm 119:165

Harmony - Monday, May 20, 2013 | Daily Word

Harmony
IN HARMONY OF MIND AND PURPOSE, OUR DIFFERENCES FALL AWAY.
Though one ant alone may be unable to rebuild a damaged anthill, the whole colony working together can move a mountain of dirt. Likewise, many people collaborating toward a common goal can accomplish seeming miracles.
In the wake of a storm, we pick up the pieces together. When floodwaters submerge a community, we work as neighbors to clean up and rebuild. Nations help nations when human needs are greater than divisions or boundaries. As we work in harmony, differences fall away and strangers become friends. My earnest prayer is for harmony of mind and purpose in times of greatest need as well as times of joy.
I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, … that you be united in the same mind and the same purpose.—1 Corinthians 1:10

New Dawn - Sunday, May 19, 2013 | Daily Word

New Dawn
I AM FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT OF GOD.
As I open my eyes to the morning light, I am rested, renewed, and ready for a new day—a day filled with hope and promise. I am filled with the spirit of God.
How will today be different from yesterday or the day before? While I may travel the same roads, see the same people, or do the same kind of work, I am open to seeing life from a fresh, new perspective. I awaken to spiritual awareness.
Mindful of the activity of God in my life, I am receptive to a new idea, whether it appears as a slow dawning or a flash of inspiration. I revel in divine discovery. The spirit of God guides my every step and breathes life into each sacred moment.
The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have said to you.—John 14:26

Divine Order - Saturday, May 18, 2013 | Daily Word

Divine Order
I OPEN MY HEART TO LOVE AND MY LIFE TO DIVINE ORDER.
Though I intend to love others as myself, when I conflict with someone, I might consider him or her an adversary. I could, however, see them differently. I pause and ask myself, How else might I view our relationship? This person may be my teacher in some way. What am I to learn from him or her? I open my mind to a different possibility. I open my heart to acceptance.
As I broaden my perspective, I become a radiant expression of unconditional love. I love even in the presence of conflict. No matter what the other person intended, I intend to see God’s goodness. Through this changed perspective, divine order prevails. I look for the good, for the gift. I love and I live a “divine order” life.
Even though you intended to do harm to me, God intended it for good.—Genesis 50:20

Protected
IN GOD, I LIVE, MOVE, AND HAVE MY BEING.
I am sheltered by the presence of God within. The more I consciously center myself in the Presence, the more I feel safe and protected.
What is there to fear when I know that wherever I am, God is? What is there to worry about when I know that God is working through me as the Spirit of wisdom, power, and intelligence?
God guides me as I listen with awareness and follow my intuition. Even in the middle of a difficult situation, I trust the wisdom of God to help and protect me. God is my shield in all circumstances. In God, I live, move, and have my being, and I am safe.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.—Psalm 18:2

Comfort - Thursday, May 16, 2013 | Daily Word

Comfort
I AM NEVER APART FROM GOD’S LOVE AND COMFORT.
We cannot be where God is not. God is in the darkness and the light; at the peak of the highest mountain and in the deepest cave; in the raging storm and the gentle breeze.
I may think I am separate from God—but in Truth, God is here with me. With a thought, a prayer, or the awakening of my heart, I become aware of the loving presence of Spirit. In this very moment, I am comforted as peace washes over me. I am enfolded in divine, unconditional love, safe, and protected.
When I am ready, I will consider what is next; but for now, I rest in the Presence.
If I take the wings of the morning and settle at the farthest limits of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me fast.—Psalm 139:9-10

Joy - Wednesday, May 15, 2013 | Daily Word

Joy
THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN WITHIN IS MY TREASURE AND JOY.
Everyone delights in finding hidden treasure. Whether a child discovers coins buried in a sandbox or an adult stumbles upon a priceless antique in the attic—finding unexpected wealth is joyous! The greatest treasure, however, isn’t hidden at all. It is the kingdom of heaven within. God’s abiding presence brings treasures of love, wholeness, and life.
Joy comes from discovering God as my source of wisdom, strength, and joy. God’s limitless supply meets every need. This is treasure indeed! I need not search for happiness on the outside when the kingdom of heaven is here on the inside.
The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which someone found and hid; then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.—Matthew 13:44

Why Must I Share The Joy of Jesus?

There are so many people both lost and hurting in sin. What is the relief from them today? The typical answer is generally more sin, i.e.,drugs, sex, violence, crime and pain. We are witness crimes against people at an inhuman portions. The question is why?

I read that a man held three young-women prisoner for over 10 years for whatever he pleased. Why? People blowing what people at a well meaning marathon for what reason? The simple answer is sin, in other words an absence of true love.

The Joy of Jesus is that sinners are saved by grace. What do we mean by this statement? Jesus came into this world to save sinners, which is everyone. Jesus died on the cross so that we may see the light. God raised Jesus on the third day so that we may live with Him in perfect peace.Joy.

Given this tremendous gift of faith in a people lost in sin to be saved without merit is a gift of joy. Therefore it must be shared. The Holy Spirit has used me to share this message of love to all who have eyes and hears to pay sharp attention to the meaning of this gift of both love and joy. This is why we must like and share an answer to life's basic question against the sins of the world. Jesus.

Easygoing - Tuesday, May 14, 2013 | Daily

Easygoing
I AM CALM AND EASYGOING.
Life can be busy, but rather than rushing from one activity to another, I remind myself, “Easy does it.” I remember to slow down and fully savor each moment of my life.
Throughout the day, I give myself breathing space by pausing frequently for a few minutes of prayer and meditation. Bringing my awareness within, I notice my breath as it becomes steady and calm. Even in a brief moment of quiet, I sense the presence of God within me. I am enfolded in holiness, resting in Spirit.
This small break helps me relax and open to the joy of being alive. I am aware, awake, and in the flow as I continue with my day in an easygoing manner.
Those who listen to me will be secure and will live at ease.—Proverbs 1:33

Healing - Monday, May 13, 2013 | Daily Word

Healing
I AM HEALTHY IN MIND, BODY, AND SPIRIT.
Good health is important to me. I want to feel, do, and be my best mentally, physically, and spiritually. One key to my good health is prayer. In quiet moments of communion with God, I open myself to wisdom, power, and inspiration.
I visualize God’s life within me as healthy cells, creative thoughts, and vital energy. The life of God animates and regenerates my body, mind, and spirit. It is the life force that keeps me strong.
If health challenges arise, I meet each one with faith and understanding. Proper nutrition, ample rest, and daily prayer are all part of my health plan. I trust the spirit of God within to lead me to right actions and optimum health.
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you?—1 Corinthians 6:19

Mother’s Blessing - Sunday, May 12, 2013 | Daily Word

Mother’s Blessing
MAY ALL MOTHERS BE BLESSED WITH LOVE AND APPRECIATION.
I bless mothers and all who give from their hearts to care for children. Love is essential for a child to thrive and grow, and today we celebrate and honor maternal love.
With gratitude in my heart, I bring to mind my own mother or a motherly figure. I give thanks for the one who nurtured and guided me, stood by me through difficulties, shaped me into the person I am today. Connected by a love that transcends time, distance, and circumstance, we are one in the love of God, forever linked and blessed.
Mothers of the world, may you be blessed knowing you are loved and appreciated. God is the source from which all love emanates, and you are an expression of God’s love as you tend to those in your care.
I will bless her, and she shall give rise to nations.–Genesis 17:16

World Peace
I ENVISION PEACE, HARMONY, AND LOVE FOR ALL PEOPLE.
Archbishop Desmond Tutu once said, “Let us come together and be one; let us be people of peace; let us be people of harmony.” These words are a gentle reminder of the importance of working together for peace.
We are all members of the global community, united on this glorious planet. As part of the world community, I have a responsibility to be a person of peace. In my daily life, I listen, learn, and share with honesty and kindness. I allow peace and love to express through me as the thoughts I hold, the questions I ponder, the words I use, and the actions I take.
I am an ambassador of peace in the world, affirming peace and harmony for all people.
Let us then pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.—Romans 14:19

Forgive - Thursday, May 09, 2013 | Daily Word

Forgive
MY HEART OPENS AS I FORGIVE.
In my prayer time, I realize I cannot forgive with a hardened heart. Whatever wrong I perceive has hurt me, I know forgiveness is the path to healing. Divine Love is the great solvent. It softens all hardened conditions of mind and heart. I open myself to divine love and allow it to heal me.
I begin by visualizing each of us entering the world as an innocent babe. Beneath any hurt, fear, or judgment, we are still that pure Essence of Being. Opening my heart, I connect my pure Essence to that of others. I speak a simple prayer, “May you be blessed.” I release each wound to the forgiving, healing power of Divine Love. With a softened heart, I welcome my good—the peace of forgiveness.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.—Matthew 5:8

Our Daily Bread -- “Don’t Worry, Dad!”

The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. —Isaiah 58:8
Last summer, my husband and I hosted a concert and fundraiser for childhood cancer research. We planned to have the event in our backyard, but weather forecasts were dismal. A few hours before the event, we began calling our 100+ guests to inform them of a change in venue. As our friends and family began feverishly toting food, decorations, and equipment from our house to our church gym, our daughter Rosie took a moment to give her dad a hug and remind him on behalf of the kids and grandkids that they were there for him: “Don’t worry, Dad! We’ve got your back.”
Hearing that expression is comforting because it reminds us that we’re not on our own. Someone is saying, “I’m here. I’ll take care of whatever you might miss. I’ll be a second set of eyes and hands for you.”
As the Israelites were escaping a life of slavery, Pharaoh sent his army of chariots and horsemen to give chase (Ex. 14:17). But “the Angel of God . . . and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them” (v.19). In this way, God hid and protected them throughout the night. The next day, He parted the Red Sea so they could safely cross over.
God tells us “Don’t worry” as well. “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Rom. 8:31). —Cindy Hess Kasper
