Authentic
I PRACTICE AUTHENTICITY WITH MYSELF AND OTHERS.
Actors spend hours rehearsing, learning lines, and working with technicians to get everything just right. They also delve in to the accent, movements, and motivations of the character. After a performance, actors shed these things and become themselves once again.
In some aspects of my life, I may perform as if I am an actor and hide behind a mask or image. I value authenticity in relationships. God leads me to look at areas where my lines and roles may not reflect my Highest Self. I lovingly release any actions and words not in alignment with my true nature. In Truth, I am a loving, kind, and generous expression of Christ. As I practice authenticity with myself and others, I trust myself more and I am free.
And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.—John 8:32

Grace
I LIVE IN THE FULLNESS OF GRACE SIMPLY BECAUSE I AM.
God gives me grace without conditions. I do not have to work hard or earn divine blessings. My worthiness does not depend upon my actions. I am worthy of grace because of who I am.
When Moses stood at the burning bush and asked, who shall I say sent me? God said, “I am who I am.” The same I Am incarnated in the form of Jesus and lies at the core of me. I am “made in the image and likeness” of God and therefore I Am—the very essence of God. This gift of my essence is grace.
Grace takes action, too, showing up as delightful goodness in my life. I allow grace to overflow from my heart in free and joyous expression. I live in the fullness of grace simply because I am.
By grace you have been saved ... it is the gift of God.—Ephesians 2:8

GRATITUDE DRAWS MY GOOD TO ME LIKE A SPIRITUAL MAGNET.
Gratitude is a spiritual magnet. I put my attention on the positive and draw more of the same to me. Friends, family, the comfort of home, and the beauty of nature bless me every day. I live from a place of gratitude and find an abundance of joy!
At times, I may feel less than blessed. I may face financial or health challenges. I may be going through a transition and feeling lost or confused. Then, I refocus on gratitude. I make a list of five things for which I am grateful. As I think about my blessings, my attitude changes. The difficulties do not seem as large as they did just a moment ago. I attract more blessings as I practice gratitude and see life through a new perspective. I am fulfilled.
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances.—1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Vibrant - Friday, October 09, 2015 | Daily Word
I AM A VIBRANT EXPRESSION OF GOD.
My senses rejoice in the vivid colors of nature; in the warmth of the sun and the brisk breeze of dawn; in the scent of the ocean and the aroma of dinner; in the silence of darkness and the laughter of friends.
As I gently breathe in to these expressions of life, I am one with all of God’s magnificence. The teeming ocean and the brilliant sun thrill me. The wind on the mountaintops clears away any thoughts of limitation or separation lingering in my mind. I am alive with the energy of the Divine flowing in and through me.
In this Oneness, anything is possible. The power of God heals all my earthly wounds and reveals the way to begin anew. I am an unlimited, vibrant being, keenly aware of Spirit expressing as me.
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.—Philippians 4:13

Verse of the Day
Verse of the Day
Who among the gods is like you, O LORD? Who is like you — majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
With whom do you compare the incomparable? How do you grasp the infinite with a finite mind? When the quintessence of majesty is the God you contemplate, how can you ever speak of majesty about anything else? God exhausts our superlatives. God's glory bewilders our imaginations. God's greatness exceeds our wildest dreams. He is beyond what we can know or believe. Yet the Wonder of all his wonders is simply this: he limited himself to a baby, swaddled by loving parents in strips of cloth, and placed in a feed trough because there was no room for them in the inn. Sometimes the greatest of all wonders are not the ones that require our biggest and best words. Sometimes the greatest of all wonders wrap their tiny fingers around our own and capture our hearts.
My Prayer...
I do not know how to understand your incredible love for us, yes even for me. How could you enter our world in baby Jesus? Like the Magi, I bow and worship you, Lord Jesus, and our Father who sent you. Who is like you, O God? Nobody is even close. Yet for some reason known only to your grace, you have brought us close. I praise you for your majesty and I praise you for your manger. To your glory, precious Jesus, and in your name, I offer this praise. Amen.

I EMBRACE ABUNDANT LIVING AND GIVE THANKS.
True prosperity is no mystery—it is a manifestation of faith. Jesus gave us a pattern to follow. A crowd of 5,000 who had gathered to hear him speak needed a meal. Taking five loaves and two fish, Jesus turned his attention to God. He acknowledged his Source, gave thanks for what he had, and blessed it. He anticipated an abundance of food and a miracle occurred.
I follow the example of Jesus and give thanks in advance for what I desire. I share love with others and love returns to me. I give thanks for my healthy body, nourish it, and use it to serve God. I am vigorous and vibrant. I live in faith and gratitude and I am prosperous.
And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven, and blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd. And all ate and were filled.—Luke 9:16-17

I TAKE GREAT CARE OF MY MIND, BODY, AND SPIRIT.
Jesus taught us to love one another as ourselves. When we hear this, we may automatically think Jesus is speaking only about loving others. The truth is Jesus asks us to love ourselves first.
I am better able to care for others when I take care of myself. I honor my body temple by providing myself with good nutrition, adequate exercise, and appreciation for what I bring to the world.
I read uplifting books and magazines, I speak affirmative words about myself and others, and I refuse to be pulled down by another person’s pessimistic outlook. I look for and find the best in myself and in each person. In mind, body, and spirit, I take great care of myself.
Your eye is the lamp of your body. If your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light; but if it is not healthy, your body is full of darkness.—Luke 11:34

I AM STRONG AND UNSTOPPABLE!
Today I focus on my divine power of strength. Knowing I am strong, I pursue my goals with confidence, determination, and perseverance. Any temporary setbacks only serve to increase my resolve. Just as steel becomes stronger after it is heated to a high temperature, my ability to draw on my inner strength grows as I steadfastly overcome obstacles.
If I encounter what looks like a roadblock, I call upon my divine faculty of strength. I turn within and feel the mighty power of God. I affirm: I am strong and unstoppable!Passion wells up within me as I envision my dreams. With renewed strength and faith, I see my goals through to completion.

I RELAX AND CONNECT WITH MY SOURCE.
Sometimes I may be anxious and catch myself holding my breath. I quickly center myself by relaxing my shoulders and breathing in slowly. Then I exhale all the air from my lungs. As I let go of tension, I connect with my Source. I concentrate on my breathing for a while—mentally using my outbreaths to bring relaxation to every part of my body.
The energizing activity of God flows in and through me. Breathing in, I open my heart. Breathing out, I release the old. I experience love, joy, and gratitude in the depth of my being. The rhythm of my breath draws me into the presence of God and I relax. I am filled with the life of Spirit, surrounded by the unbounded love of God. My soul rests gratefully in sweet silence and peace.
Return, O my soul, to your rest, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.—Psalm 116:7

Verse of the Day
Verse of the Day
God is merciful. Yes, we do remember those blazing occasions when he was fed up and furious with the unrighteousness and rebellion of his people. But, we remember them precisely because they were so striking and because they did not occur that frequently in the hundreds of years he led the Israelites. God has shown us his heart. God showed it to Nineveh despite Jonah. God revealed his heart in Jesus' compassion to people. God has demonstrated his mercy and love with you and me by calling us, sinners, to his side and to bring us salvation. He will not leave us unchanged and content with our sin. Yes, he does call us to repentance. But, the very fact that the Almighty God, ruler of heaven and earth would pause and invite us near and give us a chance to know his grace is almost too good to be true. That same God calls us to share that same mercy to others.

I EXPRESS THE INFINITE GOODNESS IN ME IN EVERY INTERACTION.
Unity minister Eric Butterworth wrote, “God is not in you in the same sense that a raisin is in a bun ... God is in you as the ocean is in a wave. The wave is nothing more nor less than the ocean expressing as a wave.”
I take this analogy to heart and affirm my own truth. I am nothing more nor less than God expressing as me. I am a wave in an ocean of intelligence, life, love, and wisdom.
I grow in awareness of the power of Christ within me through practice and discipline. I awaken to the infinite goodness in me and in all. I call it forth into expression in everyday life as I interact with others, do my work, solve problems, and grow in spiritual understanding.
In him we live and move and have our being.—Acts 17:28

Hebrews 13
1 Keep on loving each other as brothers.
2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.
3 Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.
4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.
5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
6 So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"
7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
9 Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by ceremonial foods, which are of no value to those who eat them.
10 We have an altar from which those who minister at the tabernacle have no right to eat.
11 The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering, but the bodies are burned outside the camp.
12 And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood.
13 Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore.
14 For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come.
15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise--the fruit of lips that confess his name.
16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
17 Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.
18 Pray for us. We are sure that we have a clear conscience and desire to live honorably in every way.
19 I particularly urge you to pray so that I may be restored to you soon.
20 May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep,
21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
22 Brothers, I urge you to bear with my word of exhortation, for I have written you only a short letter.
23 I want you to know that our brother Timothy has been released. If he arrives soon, I will come with him to see you.

Rejuvenate
I AM WHOLE, STRONG, AND FULL OF VITALITY.
Nature in its summer splendor invites me to rest and rejuvenate. Cats and dogs bask in the sunlight. A gentle breeze carries the scent of flowers. The sunset provides a moment of splendor at the end of each day.
I follow nature’s cues and take time to relax and rejuvenate. I find a quiet place to connect with God—perhaps I sit on a rock near the water, a park bench, or on my patio. I settle into meditation. I breathe in the fresh air and let go of any worries. Spirit renews me with each breath. I open myself to fresh perspectives. I see myself whole, strong, and full of vitality. I am rejuvenated!
Mindful to maintain balance in my life, I commit to rest and rejuvenation. I look forward to my next experience in nature.
You have been born anew.—1 Peter 1:23
