Forgive - Thursday, July 24, 2014 | Daily Word

I FORGIVE, AND I AM FORGIVEN.
When a disagreement or other conflict occurs, who is responsible for the feelings that are left over? I am. Although the other party played a role, my feelings are my responsibility.
After an upsetting experience, forgiveness is the place to begin. Turning within, I contemplate my divine nature and recognize the divinity in others; I consciously and deliberately forgive any of my words, actions, or thoughts that do not reveal divinity, and I do the same for others.
The moment I forgive, I am receptive to divine forgiveness. This is the promise of the wisest sages and a spiritual truth I live each day.

Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you.—Mark 11:25

Illumination - Wednesday, July 23, 2014 | Daily Word

THE LIGHT OF A NEW DAY IS DAWNING IN MY CONSCIOUSNESS. I WALK SERENE AND SURE.
Let us unite in prayer for the realization of spiritual light, which will illumine our ways in the days to come. In scriptural symbology, a new day represents a degree of unfoldment in spiritual consciousness. When the light of a new day dawns in our consciousness, it dissipates any condition of spiritual darkness that may have preceded it, just as the sunrise following the dawn dissipates the night and makes all things clear and beautiful.
As the light of a new day dawns in our consciousness, all indecision and all uncertainty are done away with. We see before us opportunities for realizing our good, for practicing good will toward all people, for loving God with all our hearts, minds, and strength. Each day, each moment offers us new opportunity.

If my people … pray … then will I hear … and will heal their land.—2 Chronicles 7:14

Employment - Tuesday, July 22, 2014 | Daily Word

MY WORK BLESSES ME.
I use my present employment as a vehicle to share my gifts and enrich my life. Whether my work is at home or outside the home, volunteer or paid, I strive for a job well done.
If I am seeking employment, I begin by thanking God for the gifts I bring to the world. I seek to serve with a generous heart and receive bountifully.
If I already have a job, I express gratitude for it every day. I bless my coworkers and my income. I stay present to what is mine to do and release the results to God. When supervising others, I am considerate and encouraging.
Whatever my calling may be, my work is a blessing to me. I appreciate and celebrate it.

Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and prosper for us the work of our hands.—Psalm 90:17

Inner Peace - Monday, July 21, 2014 | Daily Word

THE PEACE OF GOD ENFOLDS ME. I AM SERENE.
When the busyness of daily life leaves me feeling overburdened, it is time to seek the peace of God.
I understand that God not only knows my needs, but brings me peace if I permit it. I turn to Spirit within and repeat this Scripture quietly: God is not the author of confusion but of peace. If I still feel tension or stress, I repeat the prayer until I begin to feel the calming peace of God enfolding me.
The tangle and clutter of the day disappear as my thoughts become more orderly. I am able to return to my day, not rushed or confused, but confident that God’s will for me is peace. Spirit is with me always, helping me regain peace whenever I call on the Divine Presence.

For God is not the author of confusion but of peace.—1 Corinthians 14:33 (NKJV)

Divine Order - Sunday, July 20, 2014 | Daily Word

I JOYOUSLY PARTICIPATE IN THE ORDERLY UNFOLDMENT OF GOOD.
Divine order is always at work. It is the eternal and exquisite process by which all things come into existence. My very life is evidence of the graceful movement of God.
Each one of us is an essential participant in Spirit’s orderly creation. We each have a role to play in the creative process—the dynamic and continuing manifestation of God’s infinite good.
I surrender to divine order by aligning myself with Spirit. Through a regular practice of prayer and meditation, I intentionally open my life as a channel through which God’s order, love, and light radiate into the world.

Ever since the creation of the world his eternal power and divine nature, invisible though they are, have been understood and seen through the things he has made.—Romans 1:20

Becoming - Saturday, July 19, 2014 | Daily Word

GUIDED BY SPIRIT, I BECOME ALL THAT I AM.
Spirit guides me to be all that I am, all that I came here to be. I am a spiritual being having an earthly experience. As this awareness unfolds in me, I learn to allow my spiritual nature to direct my thoughts, words, and actions every day.
As I move through my life experiences, I invite Spirit to teach me how to respond to difficult situations with grace and ease, and I pay attention to the guidance I receive. I let go of old patterns that may have caused pain and suffering. I learn how to be heart-centered and develop ways to interact with others gently and lovingly. Through the workings of Spirit, I am becoming more of my true Self. I am who I came here to be.

Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.—Philippians 4:9

World Peace - Friday, July 18, 2014 | Daily Word

World Peace

ONE LOVE SHINES WITHIN US ALL.
We are all beloved children in the mind of God. There may be 7 billion unique faces, but we are of one heart. The heart of Life connects us all.
I align my thoughts with God Mind and behold all people as my brothers and sisters. The illusion of separation dissolves as I discover the beauty of the one Love shining within each of us. Love is not limited to any race, creed, or nation. Beneath the illusion of separation lie clarity, unity, and the divine nature of all life.
I redirect my attention from divisive actions or words to thoughts of the Divine. I do not perpetuate anger, hate, or spite, but remain a center of peace.

I will know that you are standing firm in one spirit, striving side by side with one mind for the faith of the gospel.—Philippians 1:27
