Has the average person underestimated the power of the cross today? There are so many pieces of information that overwhelms the public today. Are people forgetting how salvation was achieved? We need to reflect on the power of the cross. God has a plan to save the world. Can we be too blind to see it?

Each day the media paints a picture of doom and gloom without an answer. Despair is all we have, if one did not recognize the absolute power of God. The Sun and The Moon are examples of a small particle of this power. What Jesus did on the cross was to defy all of the powers on earth.

God so loved the world that He gave us His son Jesus. The government thought they killed Jesus, only to realize that love never dies. Jesus through the power of God on the cross rose from the dead, and will return with all power ,honor and glory. This is the Joy of Jesus, to save us from sin. We can live forever with God through our faith in Jesus. This is true joy, and the power of the cross.

Has religion gotten so political that real faith is hidden in the cloud of self-serving organizations that could probably care-less? We live in an over communicated world. Jesus said,"Let those with ears to hear, hear what the spirit has to say."

Jesus first sermon was about being sorry for sin, seeking peace, mercy, meekness and righteousness in order to be happy and experience the kingdom of God. We must take heed to these words of tremendous insight. Jesus was only speaking the wisdom from God the Father to us. God knows that sin equals death.

Jesus gave His life on the cross for our sins. We must confess, repent, and be sorrowful regarding sin. The Bible tells us that God raised Jesus on the third day with all power, honor, and glory. The Joy of Jesus is all about our faith in the power of Jesus to save us. We must confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Jesus will return to make all things right. This is The Joy of Jesus.

Focus on The Soul

Home | Daily Word
FOCUS
My energy is focused on the fulfillment of my soul.

At any given time, I may be drawn to a number of goals, interests or opportunities. I bring these ideas to prayer to discern my next step. What am I called to do right now? If I am looking to achieve excellence in my field of interest or employment, I focus on the presence and power of God in me. Any anxiety I have will be translated into confidence, enabling me to do my very best.

As I immerse myself in my chosen activity and focus my energy, I have a clarity of purpose. My energy and enthusiasm are extensions of the energy of God. Through God, I discover my unlimited potential.

My life takes on new meaning and purpose as I focus my energy toward the fulfillment of my soul.

See, now is the acceptable time; see, now is the day of salvation!--2 Corinthians 6:2

The Joy of Jesus is Forgiving Others

FORGIVE
I forgive by giving it all to God.

Because I desire a clean, nurturing home and workplace, I sweep away dust and remove clutter. Similarly, to be happy and peaceful, I must sweep away any unforgiveness that clutters my heart and mind. What I hold in my heart creates the emotional space I live in and share with others. Any unforgiveness I hold toward another creates resentment in me and leaves me bound to past experiences.

Instead, I choose to be free through forgiveness. If memories of old hurts arise, I give them all to God. I feel God's unconditional love dissolving my pain. Forgiveness given is forgiveness received. As I give it all to God, divine love sets me free.

For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.--Matthew 6:14

The Key to Life's Balance

Home | Daily Word
HARMONY
To achieve harmony, I attune to absolute good.

If I feel out of tune with life, out of sorts or frustrated, I turn within and attune to the spirit of God, the spirit of Truth within. To be wholly in tune with the rhythm and joy of the universe, its people and its activities, I apply my spiritual energy in the direction of harmony and unity. I behold the divine idea of purity and perfection underlying all that appears in the world.

With love in my heart, I look for that which is true and beautiful in all persons and conditions. In seeking the best in others, I not only discover the depths of goodness in my own being, I find it easy to reach agreement with others. Nothing can disturb my consciousness of harmony or hinder its manifestation in my world when I attune myself to God's absolute good.

Hold fast to what is good.--1 Thessalonians 5:21

Matthew 6 "Take heed that ye do not your..." KJV - Online Bible Study

Matthew 6 "Take heed that ye do not your..." KJV - Online Bible Study: Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have noreward of your Father which is in heaven. 2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 3 But when thou doest alms, letnot thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth : 4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thyFather which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly . 5 And when thou prayest , thoushalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in thecorners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you , They have theirreward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest , enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray , use not vain repetitions , as the heathen do: for they think that they shall beheard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth whatthings ye have need of, before ye ask him. 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Fatherwhich art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come . Thy will be done in earth, as itis in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive ourdebtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, andthe power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenlyFather will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Fatherforgive your trespasses. 16 Moreover when ye fast , be not, as the hypocrites, of a sadcountenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast . Verily I sayunto you , They have their reward. 17 But thou, when thou fastest , anoint thine head, and washthy face; 18 That thou appear not unto men to fast , but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thyFather, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly . 19 Lay not up for yourselves treasuresupon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt , and where thieves break through and steal : 20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt , andwhere thieves do not break through nor steal : 21 For where your treasure is , there will yourheart be also. 22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole bodyshall be full of light. 23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If thereforethe light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 No man can serve twomasters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, anddespise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. 25 Therefore I say unto you, Take nothought for your life, what ye shall eat , or what ye shall drink ; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on . Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air:for they sow not, neither do they reap , nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeththem. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubitunto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how theygrow ; they toil not, neither do they spin : 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all hisglory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is , and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought , saying , What shall we eat ? or, What shall we drink ?or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed ? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek :) for yourheavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdomof God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take thereforeno thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
