The Psalms
30

Thanksgiving for Deliverance from Death
A Psalm and Song at the dedication of the house of David.

1 I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up,
and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

2 O LORD my God, I cried unto thee,
and thou hast healed me.

3 O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave:
thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

4 Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his,
and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

5 For his anger endureth but a moment;
in his favor is life:
weeping may endure for a night,
but joy cometh in the morning.

6 And in my prosperity I said,
I shall never be moved.

7 LORD, by thy favor thou hast made my mountain to stand strong:
thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.

8 I cried to thee, O LORD;
and unto the LORD I made supplication.

9 What profit is there in my blood,
when I go down to the pit?
Shall the dust praise thee?
Shall it declare thy truth?

10 Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me:
LORD, be thou my helper.

11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing:
thou hast put off my sackcloth,
and girded me with gladness;

12 to the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

Sermon: The Joy of The Lord

Scripture: James 1:2 My brethren,count it all joy when you fall into divers temptation;
Prayer: Eternal God, we humble ourselves of all sin, we forgive all in the name of Jesus Christ. Oh, Lord of our salvation, we thank Thee and praise for all blessings in the name of Jesus. We pray for peace,love and joy. We pray for all in need and bless in your name. All Praise to God in Jesus name. A-men

The Bible tells us to count it as joy when we are tempted. This is an important lessen in life. We all are faced with things in live that will take away our focus on God. Sin is very tempting but will lead to death.

Joy is a great blessing from God. People are searching all over the world and outer space for Joy. Our scripture makes it clear, count it all joy. When Jesus was tempted in the dessert, satan offered him the world. Jesus stayed true to God the Father. We too must stay true to God.

Jesus died in the cross so that we may live with Him forever. Jesus will come back and judge the world. We must be ready when he does return. We Praise God todat and Forever with the love and joy of Christ Jesus in our in our hearts and souls. We pray for this Church and Bless all those who read these words for increase in Jesus name A-men...

The Power of the Cross..

There are numerous symbols in the world. Symbols represent from nations, corporations, organizations and families. Each symbols has particular powers. Yet, there is no symbol on earth as powerful as the sign and way of the Cross.

Jesus Christ turned the meaning of the Cross on its head. The Roman Empire used the cross as a sign of torture and punishment. Criminals and enemies of the Roman power were put to death on the cross. The pain and agony is simply too excruciating to put into words. The pain would last for hours and days without end. Jesus gave the cross new meaning and power.

Jesus endured the Roman meaning of the cross to represent the ultimate Power of God.
Christ Jesus made the Cross the road to salvation. He died on the Cross for the sins of the world. He turned the Cross from a symbol of death into eternal life in Heaven.

The Power of the Cross is beyound human understanding and reason. We see the Cross as a symbol of redemption. We thank God and Praise God for all spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus for the life and ways of the Cross. The Power of the Cross means new life and the Joy of The Lord.

Convocation: Thinking about the Lord...

Today is a wonderful day to meditate on the Lord. The question is, how does one do it? Clearly there are so many things to do today how does one find the time? The kids have to go to school, my job is doing more with less people. My bills are flying in.. The phone is ringing, the TV is on and I have not has my coffee, plus I would like to lose a pound or two.

Life is so overwhelming that the time to actual think is almost never in the plan. God is always in the plan. He is working on our salvation as we run our daily lives. God will always do His job and do it to perfection. Jesus Christ is the same today, yesterday and tomorrow.

Let take a moment each day and think about the goodness of God in Christ Jesus. Thank God for God. Praise God for being in your life. This is indeed a blessing.Just take a quiet moment and think about what Jesus did on the cross for us to live in peace forever with him in perfect love.

Bible Study: The Meaning of Joy....

Habakkuk 3:18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

The meaning of joy can be found in this particular verse of scripture. How does one find joy today? This prayer was written over 3,000 years ago. How does it apply now? These are the questions from which we may learn from the word of God.

The key word in the passage is joy. Presently the world is in an economic recession. Jobs, housing and the cost of food is all harder to obtain. Families are so stressed to make ends meet. These are joyless days. We need joy.

Overall, the three lessons in our scriptures: 1. Trust, we must always trust in God. 2. Confidence is always placed in the Power of God. 3. Spiritual Joy in God is in Christ Jesus. Finally, rejoice in knowing that the Lord of our salvation and having faith in Christ Jesus. All of our joy is in the Lord. Jesus Christ is the joy of our salvation. This is the meaning of all joy.

It is Time to Stand Strong for The Lord
