Bible Verse of the Day, Encouraging Daily Reading

Bible Verse of the Day, Encouraging Daily Reading

Sunday, August 30Job 38:4-74 "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand. 5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? 6 On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone-- 7 while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?

Verse of the Day

Verse of the Day

Jesus did not want anyone to know where they were, because he was teaching his disciples. He said to them, "The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men. They will kill him, and after three days he will rise."

Verse of the Day

Verse of the Day

God is merciful. Yes, we do remember those blazing occasions when he was fed up and furious with the unrighteousness and rebellion of his people. But, we remember them precisely because they were so striking and because they did not occur that frequently in the hundreds of years he led the Israelites. God has shown us his heart. God showed it to Nineveh despite Jonah. God revealed his heart in Jesus' compassion to people. God has demonstrated his mercy and love with you and me by calling us, sinners, to his side and to bring us salvation. He will not leave us unchanged and content with our sin. Yes, he does call us to repentance. But, the very fact that the Almighty God, ruler of heaven and earth would pause and invite us near and give us a chance to know his grace is almost too good to be true. That same God calls us to share that same mercy to others.

Verse of the Day

Verse of the Day

People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

Have you ever been involved in a well organized family reunion? What about about a spiritual journey as well? We need family and family needs us. It provides a foundation of love. Jesus gives us a greater sense of family beyond our imagination.

Have you ever just missed the loved-ones who have gone to the other side, the ancestors that made all things possible for your family? I miss my grandparents, father, uncles and aunts that have passed away. I miss all of my cousins and their children too. I miss my brothers and sister when we have been apart for some time. How wonderful it is to be at one with one-another.

Jesus is our family. When we accept all that Jesus did on the cross for our salvation, then we can apprehend the fullness of God's Love. Jesus was raised from the grave to give us all a new life. We pray for all families to embrace the love of God in Christ Jesus. We need a spiritual connection through the power of The Holy Spirit.

The family is our gift from God all in Jesus name. We are praying for all families , high in the spirit. Our love is radiated in the Love of God in Christ Jesus. We ask the God would indeed bless all the families in the body of Christ Jesus and all that He did in the name of pure love.

Infinite - Tuesday, August 04, 2015 | Daily Word

Infinite - Tuesday, August 04, 2015 | Daily Word

I EXPRESS THE INFINITE GOODNESS IN ME IN EVERY INTERACTION.
Unity minister Eric Butterworth wrote, “God is not in you in the same sense that a raisin is in a bun ... God is in you as the ocean is in a wave. The wave is nothing more nor less than the ocean expressing as a wave.”
I take this analogy to heart and affirm my own truth. I am nothing more nor less than God expressing as me. I am a wave in an ocean of intelligence, life, love, and wisdom.
I grow in awareness of the power of Christ within me through practice and discipline. I awaken to the infinite goodness in me and in all. I call it forth into expression in everyday life as I interact with others, do my work, solve problems, and grow in spiritual understanding.

In him we live and move and have our being.—Acts 17:28
