Inner Peace - Friday, August 30, 2013 | Daily Word
INNER PEACE IS ONLY A THOUGHT AWAY.
When outer annoyances seem to keep me from feeling calm, serene, or centered, I focus my awareness inward and rediscover inner peace.
As I close my eyes and concentrate on my breathing, the day’s stress and concerns melt away. I remember that peace is my true nature. I recover my peace one thought, one breath, one prayer at a time.
Conflict and chaos in the outer world have no permanence. Peace is not a lack of conflict, but an abiding realization that conflict does not define or control me. I create my life through the thoughts I choose to think—and I choose peace.

Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?—Matthew 6:25

Forgiveness - Thursday, August 29, 2013 | Daily Word

I BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS.
To believe fully and completely in the forgiving love of God is to know peace and freedom. The moment I turn within to God in prayer, with humility and acceptance, I am freed from past mistakes. God’s forgiving love instantly dissolves bitterness, resentment, and condemnation.
I may have acted or spoken in a way I am ashamed of. I may wish I could retrace my steps and start over again. But it is through living that we learn and grow. My missteps help me see how I want to change and who I want to be.
No matter what I have done or what circumstances influenced me, I can start anew, make amends, and accept God’s forgiveness. I embrace a new vision of life, and I am free now to express it.

There is forgiveness with you.—Psalm 130:4

My Dreams - Wednesday, August 28, 2013 | Daily Word

WITH FAITH, I FOLLOW MY DREAMS.

The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” Dr. King drew on the power of faith to overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges. I have within me this same divine power, and I can use it to pursue my dreams.
Whether I dream of writing a book, sailing around the world, or effecting positive change in my community, I, too, must take the first step, even though “the whole staircase” may not be visible.
If fear or self-doubt arises, I go within and allow the presence of God to support me in mind, body, and spirit. One step at a time, my way is made clear. With faith, my dreams come to fruition.

Happy are those whose help is the God of Jacob … who keeps faith forever.—Psalm 146:5, 6

Progress

I APPRECIATE MY PROGRESS.
Living in the moment is a powerful practice; yet at times I may need to step back for a larger perspective. As I contemplate where I have been and what I have accomplished, I awaken to and appreciate the progress I have made.
I may not have reached my full potential yet, but I can appreciate every phase of my journey—past, present, and future. Each step forward deepens the meaning and purpose of my life.
I need not rush or force my progress. I am one with the One Presence—in everything that is and will be. Knowing I am divinely supported, I relax and enjoy life’s abundant opportunities to learn and grow.

I am going to send an angel in front of you, to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared.—Exodus 23:20

Divine Order - Monday, August 26, 2013 | Daily Word
I ACT ON MY INTENTIONS.
When I take on a new creative enterprise, I do so with the finished product clearly in mind. I start with a vision, make a plan, and gather the tools. I waste no energy worrying how the process will unfold. I proceed with intention and confidence. When I focus on what I am doing, the steps follow in divine order to create the results I envision.
Life is a cocreative process. At one with Spirit, I affirm a life filled with loving relationships, abundant blessings, health, and wholeness.
Monitoring my thoughts and words, I gently let any discouragement pass me by. I stay focused on my intentions, and the results unfold in divine order.

You have made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows its time for setting.—Psalm 104:19

Free

THROUGH THE POWER OF THE CHRIST IN ME, I AM FOREVER FREE.
Through the Christ in me, I am free from limitation. I am not bound by circumstances or victim to negative influences. I am free with the freedom of Spirit, and this is my innermost truth. I rejoice and give thanks for it.
The Christ within is freedom and liberation. If I face an undesirable situation, I do not give it power. I simply, but firmly, declare my freedom. I am an expression of the Christ. This is the truth of me.
Outward appearances have no power to hurt me, for I am centered and poised in the power of the Christ. I walk serene and unafraid, filled with faith and confidence. The source of my freedom is the unfailing power of Christ within. In this power, I rise above every limiting condition and I am free.

For you were called to freedom.—Galatians 5:13

MY HEART IS FILLED WITH PROMISE, PEACE, AND LOVE.
I hold in my heart all that is sacred, all that I love. My reverence for Spirit, life, love, and goodness lies in the sanctuary of my heart.
Consciously turning my attention to this inner realm, I find peace. Here I am comforted. Here I feel the warmth of divine love. Here I listen for the still small voice.
In the silence of this sacred space, I am attuned to the indwelling Christ Spirit. I call forth my questions and know they are answered. I call forth my dreams and know they are nurtured. I call to mind my loved ones and know God is with them always—their help in every need. All that is precious to me lives in my heart. My heart is filled with promise, peace, and love.

Mary treasured all these words and pondered them in her heart.–Luke 2:19

John 6:1-21 (King James Version)

View In My Bible
1 After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias. 2 And agreat multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that werediseased . 3 And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples. 4 And thepassover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh. 5 When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw greatcompany come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat ? 6And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do . 7 Philip answered him, Twohundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little. 8One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him, 9 There is a lad here, whichhath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many? 10 And Jesussaid , Make the men sit down . Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down , innumber about five thousand. 11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks , hedistributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down ; and likewise of the fishesas much as they would . 12 When they were filled , he said unto his disciples, Gather up thefragments that remain , that nothing be lost . 13 Therefore they gathered them together , andfilled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and aboveunto them that had eaten . 14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did ,said , This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world. 15 When Jesus thereforeperceived that they would come and take him by force , to make him a king, he departed again intomountain himself alone. 16 And when even was now come , his disciples went down unto thesea, 17 And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark,and Jesus was not come to them. 18 And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew . 19So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on thesea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid . 20 But he saith unto them, It is I; benot afraid . 21 Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at theland whither they went .

Gratitude - Friday, August 23, 2013 | Daily Word

I PRAISE AND GIVE THANKS FOR ALL MY BLESSINGS.
The more I focus on the fullness of my life, the more grateful and satisfied I am. I am grateful that my basic needs have always been met. I am grateful for my relationships—my family, friends, and community members—who fill my life with laughter, inspiration, and companionship. I am grateful that I am one with Spirit, which provides me with the divine foundation for a life of purpose and meaning.
I gratefully acknowledge my abundant blessings. I praise and give thanks for the wellspring of Spirit in me and in all people. We are heirs to the kingdom of God and all good that lies therein. My gratitude for life is immense.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly … with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.—Colossians 3:16

Attraction

I ATTRACT MY HIGHEST GOOD!
When embroiled in an unhappy circumstance, I don’t give up or give in. I am not a hapless, limited being. I have the power to change the direction of my life. I have a conquering spirit that can neither be daunted nor defeated!
My valiant spirit is an attracting agent for good, magnetically drawing to me enriching experiences. The power of attraction is always at work. If I have previously allowed misperceptions about faults or flaws to define me, I release these thoughts now. Through the power of my life-affirming words, I attract greater good to me and through me. Summoning the power of attraction, I assertively draw into existence the good I deserve.

I looked, and there was a white horse! Its rider had a bow; a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering and to conquer.—Revelation 6:2

Protected - Wednesday, August 21, 2013 | Daily Word

RESTING IN THE AWARENESS OF GOD’S INFINITE PRESENCE, I KNOW TRUE SAFETY.
I want to know that my loved ones and I are always safe and secure. At times, however, I may become so eager to establish safety that my actions create turmoil. For instance, while trying to protect others from mistakes, I might become overbearing or interfering. To protect myself from emotional hurt, I might erect walls that cut me off from receiving love.
To let go of the urge to control, I enter the Silence. I remember that divine love and wisdom are within me, and in every person and circumstance. The people I care about are safe and protected because God—as boundless love and perfect wisdom—is with them and within them at all times. In this knowing, I feel safe and secure.

The beloved of the Lord rests in safety—the High God surrounds him.—Deuteronomy 33:12

Faith - Tuesday, August 20, 2013 | Daily Word
I HAVE ABSOLUTE FAITH IN THE LOVE OF GOD WITHIN ME.
The love of God within me is the source of my unwavering faith. No matter what is happening in my life, the love of God enables me to see past appearances to the potential for transformation—within myself, within those around me, and within every situation.
Faith in the power of divine love changes my heart and mind at depth. As I express God’s love, I begin to see something new unfolding. A new pattern is emerging to bless and support me and my loved ones.
As I progress on my spiritual path, I realize nothing is more powerful than the love of God in the human heart. Through my faith in this love, I am whole, prosperous, wise, and at peace.

For your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in faithfulness to you.—Psalm 26:3

Serenity - Monday, August 19, 2013 | Daily Word

NOTHING CAN DISTURB THE CALM PEACE OF MY SOUL.
Like the eye of a storm, the center of my being is a place of peace and quiet. I turn to this inner sanctuary any time I need to go apart from the world. In this sacred space, nothing can disturb the calm peace of my soul.
In moments of prayer and meditation, I focus on the light within me. By gently turning within, I can achieve serenity anywhere, at any time.
I am filled with the love of God. I feel the strength, wisdom, and light of God enfold me and prepare me for what’s ahead. I center myself with a simple inhale and exhale, and I rest in the awareness that God and I are one.
God is my assurance that all is well. I am at peace.

Live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.—2 Corinthians 13:11
