A Day of Choice & Power: Dr. James A. Lee

Scripture: Choose you this day whom you will serve! Joshua 24:15

Prayer: Glory to God all in Christ Jesus whom we love, praise and worship. We humble ourselves of all sin and pray that all people will chose God first.

Sermon. Today is one of tremendous choice. In our choices there is power to be had at all cost. Our message is to make the choice we chose correct in terms of understanding our scripture at hand. Today we must contemplate the options of the world.

The world as we view it is falling apart one minute at a time. People are lost in war, greed and poverty. There are disasters at every Conner. The question is: Whom will you chose? God or man is a choice that one must consider. People are some what unclear as to the ramifications of such a choice and the power associated with it.

When Jesus had suffered all in the wilderness, satan offered Him all of the pleasures of of world to serve him. Jesus chose to serve God. Jesus went to the bloody, painful cross for our sins and serving God to the end.God raised Jesus on the third day with all power and glory.

We too must chose Jesus and God today while there is still light. Come to Jesus. God will take care of you until the end of all time as we know it. We will live in perfect peace forever and ever. The choice is clear. Let us live in The Joy of Jesus this day with all power, glory and honor.

  3. Dr. James,

Like Joshua said: Choose this day whom you will serve. I guess Peter answered it best: As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Again when some of His followers left because Jesus' sayings were hard sayings and He ask the Apostles if they too would go, Peter said: where would we go Lord, you alone have the words to eternal life. They chose to stay.

He is our focus. If He be lifted up, then He will draw all men unto Himself. Good word brother.
